"There is a pleasure in the pathless woods; there is a rapture on the lonely shore;
there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar."
- George Lord Byron
Our Near Future:
We're now closer to resuming rehearsals and performances than at any time in the past 15 months. With all safety protocols in place, the Cannon Beach Chorus will resume rehearsals on Labor Day, September 6, 2021.
We invite you to join us as our interrupted season resumes. If you are not on our email list, please contact the Chorus at: email@example.com. We will add you to our roster and see that you're informed regarding resuming rehearsals.
Stay Safe! Stay Healthy! Stay Tuned!
With our best regards,
Cannon Beach Chorus
Board of Directors
Tentative Dates: December 4,5,6, 2020
The Cannon Beach Chorus is a North Oregon coast community chorus...
...offering the gift of vocal music to delight our audiences, providing joy and challenge for participants, and expanding awareness and appreciation of the choral arts.
Even though the Chorus bears the name of Cannon Beach, our membership is comprised of singers from Ocean Park (Washington), Astoria, Warrenton, Hammond, Seaside, Manzanita, Nehalem, Wheeler, Rockaway Beach and Tillamook, as well as Cannon Beach.
Stay tuned for start date of our next rehearsal season
We are a non-audition, community-based chorus. From September through April, we rehearse every Monday night from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Cannon Beach Community Church, 132 E. Washington St. We welcome new members!
If you love to sing, come join us. You may sign in as a guest for two weeks as you see whether we are your “cup of tea.” Cannon Beach Chorus membership dues are $35 per concert season and members supply their own black music folder. Music is provided for singers at no charge and members can refer to the Chorus Member Handbook for specific information regarding concert attire.
“It is our desire to create for a certain period each week, out of worthy things, a wholeness of beauty and truth, an integrity of sound and sight and reason, which shall be its own reason for being and our reason for being there.”
